What are the key themes you implement in your work?
My songs are usually upbeat but with contrasting melancholy lyrics. It wasn’t really a conscious stylistic choice it just naturally happened! I also love implementing retro 80s synths into my songs, I just love that era of music!
Can you describe your creative process?
My writing process differs each time really. I usually go up to Manchester with my mate George who produces and co writes with me and we have lots of beers and make songs in his room. As far as structure goes it’s usually chords first, then melody and then lyrics.
What do you want to achieve with your work?
I think really as long as I’m living off doing creative things and enjoying it that’s all that really matters at the end of the day!
